Walking through the Colorado Convention Center, I passed by a nice display called “Faces of 2008.” The project aims to take around 125 pictures this week that show the geographic and ethnic diversity of the many attendees to this convention. They will take pictures of senior campaign advisers, celebrities (such as Spike Lee), and a few ordinary “faces” in the crowd. One of the extraordinary things about this Democratic convention is the cultural diversity that makes up an ordinary crowd here – just from this picture, we see people from vastly different ages and backgrounds, including a young South Asian woman. Check out the website (supposed to go up sometime tonight) for the first display of pictures.
