Doing his part

Right before the AAPI Caucus meeting began, I had a few minutes to meet Siddarth Mohandas, a Research Fellow with the Brookings Institute who currently works with the giant Obama foreign policy team as well as with the Obama campaign on South Asian community outreach. He works with the giant foreign policy team on South Asian issues, and on political outreach issues, he mentioned that he helps put together fact sheets that the campaign can give out to the South Asian community on issues such as immigration and education. He pointed out how medical and healthcare reform issues are also usually of importance to the many medical professionals in the South Asian community, which isn’t really a surprise to anyone =)
