At the three different Asian events today, I saw one kid every time, and I was sure I had seen him before, and I certainly had - Sid Salvi, high school debate pal, is now the brains behind the AAPI Vote Project. He’s created targeted AAPI Get Out the Vote plans for swing states including Florida, Colorado, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia and others with large AAPI populations that have comprehensive demographic outlines of the states with ethnic groups detailed precinct by precinct, plans for voter registration quantified and outlined speicifically, and plans to reach ethnic media outlets such as India West, India Abroad, etc (hopefully Sepia Mutiny =) ) to increase voter awareness. As Congressman Mike Honda pointed out, a few votes can make an enormous difference in this election, and increased AAPI turnout could make the difference in the election in any number of swing states. If it indeed does, the Dems might have Sid Salvi’s master plans to thank.
